Born Learning

Born Learning, United Way’s early learning public engagement campaign, is rooted in partnership. We’ve joined with national leaders to help parents and informal caregivers create early learning opportunities for young children. Our partners are:
  • The Advertising Council, a private, non-profit organization with a rich history of marshalling volunteer talent from the advertising and media industries to deliver critical messages to the American public; and
  • Civitas, a Chicago-based organization that creates innovative educational tools for parents, caregivers and professionals working with young children.

Families and Work Institute, a New York think tank known for its scientific and public engagement expertise, is leading efforts to turn the campaign into a tool for long-lasting community change. Together, we seek to boost school readiness by helping parents, caregivers and communities do what it takes to ensure young children come to school ready to succeed.
