Have you ever wanted to make a contribution to your community but didn’t think the amount you could give would make a difference? United Way is teaming up with credit card issuers across the country so you can make a big difference with small change.

The idea is simple. The program allows you to donate one penny every time you use your credit card. Every month, your credit card issuer will tally the number of times you used your card and a penny for each transaction will be deducted from your account. You will see a line item on your monthly statement reflecting this small amount of change. Your credit card issuer will then send a check to your local United Way.
